For thousands of years, astrology and medical science coexisted and completed each other without problems.
During the Middle Ages, for instance, Arab physicians, whose competence was admired throughout Europe, drew planets and zodiacal signs on their anatomical tables. It's by comparing their patients' ills with their birth charts that these physicians, generation after generation, could establish a correspondence between the signs and the planets on one hand, and different diseases on the other hand. Thus, they succeeded in determining the weak points of each individual, and in developing a real preventive medical science. Also, they could tell what kind of treatment would be the best suited for a patient according to his birth chart.
This bulk of knowledge is not entirely lost. In India and China nowadays, physicians and astrologers join their efforts to promote an efficient preventive medical science. Exiled Tibetan lamas, on their part, continue to teach future monks the principles of an astrological medical science which has worked wonders for centuries.
Are they all quacks, those physicians who're convinced that the knowledge of heavens helps the knowledge of the body? That's what official science purports — the one science that rejects all that it cannot explain. However, it's not because a knowledge remains partly unexplained that it is necessarily false!
